Virginie Maris is a researcher at the CNRS (French Centre National de Recherche Scientifique). She works at the Centre d’écologie fonctionnelle et évolutive (CEFE) in Montpellier. She is the author, among others, of La Part sauvage du monde (Le Seuil, « Anthropocène » collection, 2018) and Philosophie de la biodiversité – petite éthique pour une nature en péril (2^nd edition, Buchet/Chastel, 2016).
