Michel Remy is a specialist in modern and contemporary British art and literature, and one of the great connoisseurs of surrealism in England. Founder of Marges and of the journal Flagrant Délit, he is the author of books on David Gascoyne (David Gascoyne ou l’Urgence de l’inexprimé, 1985), of the first study on English surrealism in painting, writing, sculpture and politics (Surrealism in Britain, 1999) and one of the authors of the bilingual anthology of English poetry (Paris, Gallimard, La Pléiade, 2005). He currently teaches at the University of Nice.
