Annamari Vänskä Ph.D. is Adjunct Professor of Art History and Gender Studies at the University of Helsinki where she was named Adjunct Professor of the Year in 2012. Vänskä currently works as Collegium Researcher at Turku Institute for Advanced Studies. She has published widely on art, fashion and visual culture. Her book, Muodikas lapsuus. Lapset muotikuvissa (Fashionable Childhood. Children in Fashion Advertising, Gaudeamus, 2012), was awarded “The Best Scientific Book of the Year, Honorary Mention, 2012” and will be published in English by Bloomsbury Publishing in 2016.
