Michael Bracewell is a British writer and novelist, born in London in 1958. He has published three novels and three short stories since 1988, four of which have been published in France. He has written extensively on modern and contemporary art and culture and is a contributor to The Burlington Magazine. Recent works include The Rise of David Bowie 1972–1973 (with Mick Rock and Barney Hoskyns, Taschen, 2016), Michaël Borremans (David Zwirner Books, 2018) and a short story, The Way Ahead (Sternberg Press, 2018).
